Less than a month until Cat Power’s new full-length Sun is out (September 3 via Matador, to be exact), yet I can already confirm it is truly amazing. Chan just shared album opener Cherokee, along with a subtle remix from Nicolas Jaar. The lyrics for Cherokee are great too, with things like “When I’m, I’m going down / feels like time is on my time / bury me upside down” and “Never knew love like this / the sun, the sea and I / never knew pain, never knew shame / now I know why.”
