Stunning new single Life After Defo from London-based producer/singer Deptford Goth, grabbed me the second I heard it. Whenever he says “Been gone way too long” I get goosebumps, want to hug him and never let go. If you’re the kind of person that spends his evenings listening to the likes of The xx, Balam Acab and How to Dress Well (basically just saying “if you like pretty, simple-yet-actually-quite-complex music” here), you’ll join in on the hug. Merok released his debut EP Youth II about a year ago and aim to release a proper full-length in 2013. Keep an eye on this guy - I surely will.
