introducing: Estère

Some artists/bands always exxagarate when they describe their own music (seriously, I could start a blog about just that), some don’t. Estère belongs to the latter, as her Facebook page simply states she is “just a girl with an MPC.” We like this simplicity/honesty, plus we like her music. Estère is from New Zealand and looks a bit like the secret sister of Jessie Ware and Solange - two artists she could be compared to as well, now we come to think of it. Nifty pop tunes without too much decoration, just infectious rhythms and a soulful voice to back up the beats. (via)
