Night Beds is the moniker of Nashville vagabond Winston Yellen, a project that’s been a long time in the making but set to release a full length record next month via Dead Oceans. The key sound is a mix of indie rock and folk and for some reason (it might be his sweet voice) we’re receiving a very religious, pastoral vibe (you’re probably not allowed to use “religious” and “vibe” in the same sentence, but whatever) off the songs.
Country Sleep clocks in little over 30 minutes - it’s short, but the ten tracks that it counts are all worth it. Americana folk with a Bon Iver/Fleet Foxes feel to it, all written and recorded in solitude in a house Johnny Case once resided in.
