H∆SHTAG$ is a new and interesting series of web-documentaries from Red Bull in which they “shed light on some of the most fascinating music movements emerging from the digital ether.” In the first episode, the makers take a look at how the internet has influenced the current renaissance of contemporary R&B in music and created a genre on what’s being called Indie R&B, Alt R&B or something like that. Alongside artists How To Dress Well, Zodiac (the former producer of The Weeknd), Rochelle Jordan and Miguel we see our friend Erik Kirtley from Indie R&B, Alex Macpherson (The Guardian) and Melissa Bradshaw (The Quietus).
