Last week, Patrick Wolf stopped by the SHOWstudio studio’s to perform an acoustic live set for their Café Concert series, directed by Nick Knight. Patrick Wolf composed a two hour long sound installation called To Sea out of samples of his voice pitched through an old Casio keyboard for Fred Butler. From that sound piece, he made a short song to soundtrack a short film featuring his 2012 collection.

The Guardian hit up Patrick Wolf for a lovely interview and had the pleasure to watch Patrick and his band play Armistice. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this heartfelt rendition of Armistice.

The City, the second single to be taken from Patrick Wolf’s Lupercalia, his fifth studio album. Another splendid single; click here to view some pics of the videoshoot, which was filmed on the beach of Santa Monica.

In an interview with NME he revealed that it will be a ‘very clean’ album and that he wants to step away from the industrial sound his last album The Bachelor had. After hearing The City and former single Time Of My Life (which you can still hear here) I have to admit I am really looking forward to Lupercalia; sounds like it’s going to a beautiful and happy LP. Out early May, let the countdown begin!
