Yeasayer — Henrietta
Yeasayer — Henrietta

Yeasayer infect their weird psy-pop magic in Fanfarlo’s Shiny Things and turn the indie pop gem into a psychedelic Middle Eastern hymn. Grab the mp3 below, plus watch the band play the song live for their ongoing live sessions. Hope you already watched Tim Nackishi’s video for Shiny Things. Rooms Filled With Lights is out on February 28. (via)
Yeasayer bring a brand new song titled The Devil and The Deed to Conan. They have been playing numerous new songs on their current tour, so be sure to go see them if they play anywhere near you. They have plans to dive into the studio this summer to record their third LP.
Yeasayer — Swallowing the Decibels
Yeasayer’s release for RSD is the End Blood 7”, which holds “2 ideas that didn’t fit on Odd Blood”. Here’s the a-side Swallowing the Decibels, click here to stream b-side Phoenix Wind. Both songs capture their psychedelic pop weirdness perfectly.
Yeasayer’s gift for Valentine’s Day is a video for their ‘heart tug’n track’ I Remember of their Odd Blood LP. They also offer us a free I Remember EP with remixes by Painted Palms and Villa, of which you can download the latter below.
The lads of Yeasayer go acoustic at Triple J and cover Seal’s Crazy. They are little crazy. In a very good way, obviously.
Head over to Yeasayer’s website to download/buy their Christmas present, which is a recording of the show (sound only, though you can still stream the entire show here) they gave late October 2010 in Brussels (which I attended, of course). Gives you a good idea of the kind of party they can pull off.
Recently Yeasayer surprised me with their astonishing live performance on Pukkelpop; today they surprise me with a blissed out psych-pop remix of Florence + The Machine’s Dog Days Are Over.
Dreamy beats and sexy synths: those are Little Loud’s trademarks. He’s from Brighton and has done remixes for HEALTH, Memory Tapes and Au Revoir Simone in the past. Recently he finished a remix of Yeasayer’s Madder Red, which you can check out below, plus some sort of cover of Bruce Springsteen’s Dancing In The Dark. Be sure to check out his remix of Bicycle too, which you can find on the Memory Tapes blog. Solid stuff.
