Right when you think “this is just going to be a video of a girl ice skating for 5 straight minutes”, things go horribly (but beautifully) wrong in the video for Grizzly Bear’s Yet Again. Directed by Emily Kai Bock. Shields is out now and is as amazing as you hope/expect it to be.

Yet Again. Yet again, Grizzly Bear made a stellar song. While Sleeping Ute sounded like a more chaotic Veckatimest b-side, Yet Again is without doubt a step forward to an even bigger sound. Shields is out on September 17/18 on Warp, pre-order your copy over at their website.

The cat’s out of the bag: Grizzly Bear have announced the release of their fourth studio album (which is as of now still untitled), the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Veckatimest. It will count 10 tracks and will be available in stores on September 18 via Warp. A first track Sleeping Ute can be streamed above - it sounds like Veckatimest but even “bigger”. Head over to their website the find out all dates on their world tour.

Daniel Rossen confirms once more why he is such a mastermind with his solo EP Silent Hour/Golden Mile, out now on Warp. Makes me even more excited for the new Grizzly Bear full-length that’s coming out this year. Stream the EP below and purchase it over at Warp.

Daniel Rossen follows the path of fellow Grizzly Bear-member Chris Taylor (CANT) and is set to release a 5-track EP Silent Hour / Golden Mile of solo-recordings on March 19 via Warp. It sounds a lot like his work for Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles (obviously), but that is a very good thing (obviously). Listen to a first outtake Saint Nothing above.

Earlier today, Grizzly Bear informed us they have been writing songs for a new album and will start recording it by the end of this month in Texas. That’s all information for now, but that’s all I need to get excited already! Let’s pray it will live up to the high standards they have set with Veckatimest, although I have all faith in them. Will keep you posted, obviously.

A new song from Grizzly Bear appears in an ad for the Washington Lottery. One minute of Grizzly Bear beauty. This could make me participate in the lottery!
